Favor of Gods: Out of balance!
I notice its mostly Krorea that has the Favor of the Gods. Simply because they win the most matches. Next is America, and Europe hardly ever has the Favor.
But since having the Favor of the Gods gives access to levels in the Temple of Ages (and maybe more, I dont know) where you can find items that make you stronger this concept means: The stongest will grow stronger and stronger and at the end the game will be totally out of balance. Allready I notice Europeans running to other servers just because they never can get to the Temple levels.
So a change is needed to prevent that 1 realm gets the best of the game where others just pickup the crumbs thats left

Last I checked, America almost always has the favor of the gods. If Europe can't hold the favor, I don't see how it's ANet's fault. It might be slightly unfair, but that's the way it's going to be unless Europe starts winning.

I think they'd have been better off subdividing AMERICA.. You have to realize that AMAERICA is pretty much the entire western hemisphere.
Best solution would have made different kingdomes or something with no identifier other than language and let people pick them when they signed on. It would have cut back on some of the imbalance that way.

Indeed, then instead of just three regions it'd be more like five, or six. Korea kind of counts for the Asian sector of things doesn't it? Just a guess...
I have yet to dive into the special worlds, just once and it was a waste of 1p. But it was an education as well... heh.

yeah america also includes canada, australia and new zealand, and perhaps a few other countries.
id really much prefer a realm system, im not a patriot of america, and even though its just a name, im still not comfortable with it.
also im getting rather sick of playing for a team, where half of them make comments like 'slant eyes' etc. when talking about the koreans.. makes me sick.
a realm system would help eliminate the perception of 'war against another country'... hell, the current heat between USA and North Korea should be enough to rethink the names hehe

Hmmm, I think you dont get my point: If there is some kind of bonus level where players can find stronger equipment, than this should not be realm related, or pvp related or guild vs guild related. Because that makes the ones who allready are strong only stronger! Since this is a game suggestion forum my suggestions in this are:
1. Make access to the temple levels available for everyone on a time based schedule, and since there are 3 realms each realm can have access 8 hours a day.
2. At all cost prevent that winners of some kind of pvp competition are rewarded with items which make them stronger. This includes giving bonus levels where items can be farmed.

You can easily find everything that can be found in the Underworld and the Fissure elsewhere, the drop rates are just higher in those places. There is no "uber" loot in this game.

Who you see having favour a lot depends on what time zone you're in, obviously. Korea tends to hold favour during its peak hours, and America tends to hold favour during ours. If you're that desperate for the favour of the gods, try to put together a good PUG around 1100 UTC or so. That time seems to be off-peak for just about everyone, and I've held Halls with PUGs more than once around that time.

Do you understand how hard korea is to beat for both america and europe? You can't really call anyone because you can't read the names, and since they got the game first, they are ahead of both of us. Just my thoughts

i aggre, that it is unfair to have a system whare two sides are always winning, but i do not think that ( lets use a third party for an example ) Mexico wining means that Mexico gets high powerd things and so forth. but If Mexico loses, Like you said, the pvp'rs ( i hate stero-typing ) will go to a diffrent contry or reagon and fight there, thuss killing all hope for a pve'r to go in to the under world.

Having hit the end of the game i see barely any challenge other then trying PvP or the Underworld Missions. Now i'm living in Europe and to be honest... did Europe ever win the favor?
Okay, this is not the fault of America or Korea... but it sucks big time for Europe. I even though about changing the Regionsettings for my Account to America ... even as i am not living there. Why? To have the slightest chance on seeing the underworld anytime soon and to help my friends get in via the international district at the temple of ages (it does work doesn't it? Some guy of the favored country can just make a group and kneel there can't she?).

Its true that in Europa language can be a problem. And I know European players who speak English like to join the American servers. If it was just for honor and glory I would say: ok, if we cant organize we dont deserve it lol. But playing those levels adds something new, thats why I think its fair to change the way of access. Of course changing to an American server is an option, for me too. That would mean that needing the Favor of the Gods for entering a bonus level is no good idea.

A problem I see is that people don't just join the realm because of their location. It's because of language. If you don't speak korean or some european language, you go to the american server where everyone speaks english.

The only problem with switching is that they have a 5 switch limit per account. So you can't go from America to Europe and back more than a cpl times before you are essentially stuck where you are.

I have been wondering whether or not I should join the American servers, and leaving the European behind. Really, no one speaks English in the European servers. It's either German or French and the occasional Swedish.. English players are hard to come by.
I would have switched if it wasn't for the pretty weird limitation of being able to switch servers only 5 times. Why is this? Why only 5 times?
